Mark Smith, Cushing. . . We have added 6 new members, 2 in November and 4 in January. We see God at work. We were able to put a new roof on the east side of our sanctuary last week and our members have been helping to meet the expenses of the roof. God is so good to us.
Cary Tipton, Mannford Grace Family Worship Center. . . A man from Tulsa sober living is working things out with the Lord. He has been faithful to attend and is working out his faith with fear and trembling. We love all the baby talk in church — new babies are here! We are having a baby dedication on Easter.
Geoffrey Gunter, Tulsa Regency Park. . . D’Anne Means organized a “Parents Night Out” last Friday evening for our church. We registered 30 children and had several volunteers. Everyone had a great time. They were served yummy “kid food” and there were new games to play as well as fun Christian videos shown. The parents were very complimentary of their kids’ experience.
Ronnie Baker, Tulsa Audacity. . . We had a great Abba Sunday for the men’s homes in February. We hosted the men and then did a lunch-and-learn with the men from Abba. We celebrated their milestones on their journey and shared practical lessons on budgeting and stewardships. We look forward to serving the women’s homes in March.
Nick & Kay Vernier, Mounds The Tribe. . . We want to celebrate our South Korean Sunday School class. We FaceTime with 9 young women in South Korea. We do this on Saturday night. They meet in Stacie Vernier’s apartment. Our newest class member is a young South Korean teacher from Cheonan, S Korea. So our class is international! God is doing great things in this group! We also want to celebrate being asked to teach a teacher/staff Bible study at an elementary school. We are meeting at a Sapulpa elementary school classroom right after school on Mondays. Forty-three teachers, school staff and parents of students signed up for the study and bought the study book, “Overcoming Worry”. God is blessing as we are 4 weeks into a 12-week study. This is a diverse group of believers and non-believers. God is blessing our efforts!
Jim Thornton, Tulsa Hills. . . Praising the Lord for a young lady who accepted Christ last month. It is our privilege to come alongside her and disciple her.
Carl Brown, Hominy. . . We had a very exciting Sunday as four new families came and joined us in worship, increasing our attendance by at least 15 and giving us a tremendous time of Worship. We also had three request opportunity to serve in areas that have been prayed for this last year in Nursery Care and Leading Praise. God is truly blessing us and we Celebrate his Great LOVE.
Brady Thelander, Sapulpa. . . We had three families come with our youth for our first ever youth “Family Night.” We had two people re-commit their lives to Jesus during our Sunday morning worship services. We averaged 18 children in our Sunday morning Kid’s church. We had 65+ at our first “ThroneRoom” prayer gathering. Plus, the Lord is answering our prayers that we might build relationship with the families of the students we are reaching on Wednesday nights.
Steve Brown, Cleveland. . . We had a man in the church lead another man to Jesus as a savior on a Monday night. This gentleman was at our Wednesday evening Bible study. God is so good!!
Otoniel Dannemann, Tulsa Fuente de Vida. . . In February we celebrated the day of the couples [Valentine’s Day] and one family gave their lives to Jesus!
Drew Dinnel, Muskogee First. . . This month we are excited to be launching our first Upward Soccer program. Our church is excitedly preparing for our May league. Over the next month, we will promote through marketing and begin prepping the field to the east of the building for soccer.
Yalmi & Norma Izaguirre, Tulsa Roca de Salvacion. . . God is [providing support] to cover every expense and the mortgage.
Scott Dermer, Tulsa Central. . . Our church reached a family from our community through our Special Needs STEM Camp. Although the camp happened last summer, the family started attending worship in January. Since then, they have become involved in Sunday School and music. They have shared with us how much they appreciate the spiritual depth and hospitality of our church.
Austin Troyer, Tahlequah. . . We had another successful game night. Our kid’s ministries are growing through this. We continue to need leadership for our youth. Pray for us as we hope for leaders to step up to foster the growth in these ministry areas.
Nain & Yanira Caceres, Claremore El Buen Pastor. . . One of the greatest joys of a leader is to watch [people] walk and grow to his Disciples, and this is what is happening in our church.
David Stevens, Vinita. . . The AA/NA organization of Vinita needed a place to meet temporarily. I met their leaders through ministry to the family of one of our members who passed away. They have been meeting at our Church and I am encouraged that we are influencing this group of people positively. It is my hope that some of them will consider the Church of the Nazarene when they decide to attend church. We have a new attender who is very regular in attendance and also attends the small group Bible Study.
Melissa King, Chelsea Open Doors. . . We want to send a huge thanks to David Stevens and Bret Metcalfe for their help in fixing the women’s bathroom sink; also for the new projector for our sanctuary.
