NEO Team Update

2026 NEO Renewal Summit
We thank God for answering prayer and for his touch upon his people through the Renewal Summit.
It is still true that when God’s people humble themselves, pray, seek His face and turn from their wicked ways, God hears, sees, forgives and heals.
He is able! We rejoice in a mighty move of His Spirit in our midst!

District Superintendent Search
Nomination Form and Call to Prayer
Greetings from the District Advisory Committee!
Thank you for taking part in developing the District and District Superintendent profile. We have now reached the third stage of our District Superintendent search, and you are again invited to participate!
Nominations
The Northeast Oklahoma DS Recommendation form is open for nominations. We will receive nominations until Tuesday, February 3. These nominations are part of a process that culminates in a ballot with two candidates presented at the District Assembly, who will elect the new District Superintendent (see timeline).
Nominees must be ordained elders in the Church of the Nazarene. They can be from any district and in any current ministry role. The nomination process is open to everyone – even people from other districts whom God may lead to suggest a qualified candidate. Individuals may submit up to three names they would like to nominate by using the link provided in three separate entries.
Please be sure to review the District Superintendent profile (see link below) for a better understanding of the kind of candidate we are looking for. Again, the nominations deadline is February 3.
Prayer
Gracious and faithful God,
As we prepare to submit names for consideration for the role of District Superintendent, we pause to seek You. We acknowledge our need for Your wisdom, guidance, and discernment in this important season.
Your Word reminds us in James 1:5: “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” Trusting this promise, we humbly ask that You would grant us wisdom from above—wisdom that is pure, peace-loving, considerate, and full of mercy.
Quiet our own preferences and assumptions, and align our hearts with Your will. Help us to listen well to Your Spirit and to the ways You are already at work among us. May the names submitted reflect Your calling, Your timing, and Your purposes for our district.
We entrust this process to You, confident that You are faithful to lead us. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus.
Amen.

2026 NEO WINTER RETREAT
February 6th – 8th, 2026
This is a retreat for students of NEOK Nazarene churches focused on discipleship through intentional small groups and big group sessions and is for 6th-12th grade students.
Knowing who Jesus is and believing in him as the only way God changes our lives. It can be easy to substitute our own logic or the world’s pleasures for the true life Jesus offers. But as your students dive into Jesus’ “I Am” statements, they will discover that what Jesus offers is much better: Himself. Jesus is Irreplaceable!
