Lost and Found Church of the Nazarene in Brownsville, TX has partnered with a Nazarene church in Matamoros, Mexico to provide for the needs of those seeking asylum and refuge. We are desiring to assist them with these overwhelming needs.
Our district goal is 500 care kits and $3,000 to help with weekly meals that are served, a small projector to help with worship services at the camp, and van repairs. They are also in need of yoga mats for people to have a softer surface to sleep. Love offering money can be mailed to NMI treasurer, Dean Ashbrook, and marked border outreach.
We will be delivering the items and money on November 15th. The District Office and Tulsa Hills Church have graciously agreed to be drop off places for items until November 11th. If anyone is interested in making the drive down please email Cynthia Hollingsworth or call 918-919-1177. We also are in need of a reliable van to drive to the border.
