NEO Team Update

NEO RENEWAL SUMMIT
JAN 4 – 7, 2026
The Renewal Summit is designed to be a focused gathering where believers come together with one purpose: to experience a fresh move of the Holy Spirit. It’s a time of spiritual recalibration, calling God’s people back to wholehearted devotion, passionate worship, and a renewed pursuit of holiness as we begin a new year.
Our preaching emphasis will center on spiritual renewal—reviving the fire of prayer, restoring the hunger for God’s presence, and realigning our lives with the Word. Each message will call people to deeper surrender, authentic repentance, Spirit-empowered living, and a renewed commitment to the mission of Christ. The goal is simple: that every person leaves awakened, refreshed, and ready to walk in the fullness of God’s purpose in 2026.
RENEWAL SUMMIT DETAILS
Youth Featured on Sunday Evening: Youth will be greeting, ushering and helping lead worship on Sunday evening. We also will be praying for our students going to Nazarene Youth Conference in 2026.
Family Worship: Nursery will be provided for babies through age 3, but children 4 and older will join us for family worship. Activity packets will be provided for kids and a couple of gatherings will include a message just for kids as a part of the service. We are excited to have our kids in a revival atmosphere where youth and adults are seeking Christ wholeheartedly.
Two Luncheons on Tuesday: After the morning service on Tuesday, a Chick-fil-a Box Lunch will be provided for two groups. Pastors and spouses will be meeting with Dr. David Graves in the upstairs worship area. Dr. Graves will speak on what he would be doing if he were pastoring today. Prime Time (future Prime Timers are welcome) will be having lunch in the Fellowship Hall. Dr. Ken Dove will be speaking to our Seniors and updates will be given on Prime Time activities across the district.
To help us know how many lunches to order, please reserve a lunch at https://www.neokdistrict.org/2026-renewal-summit/
Free books and church resources: In the lounge of the great hallway at Central Church, there will be hundreds of books and resources for you and your church, free of charge.
What a way to start a new year, seeking God and anticipating a time of refreshing from his hand.

District Superintendent Search
Greetings from the District Advisory Committee!
As you will have heard, our District Superintendent Dr. Dave McKellips is planning to retire at our next District Assembly after over 20 years of serving our district. As we begin the journey towards electing a new DS in June 2026, we want to share the following information with you and encourage you to share it with your church.
Our starting point for information regarding the DS Search will be a page on our district web site at https://www.neokdistrict.org/ds-search/ . This page will be continuously updated throughout the next six months.
Our next step is a survey to facilitate the creation of the District and District Superintendent profiles. We invite everyone to participate in that effort by filling out the profile form (https://forms.gle/xP1x7cSwbdSxeC8B8 ). These profiles will introduce our district to potential candidates and guide us in finding the right candidates to serve this district in the future. A printable version of the survey is attached (please have someone type paper responses into the online form when receiving them back). Please note that the submission deadline for the profile form is Monday, January 5, 2026.
This process is intended to be transparent to every member of this district. If you have any questions for the DAC, please do not hesitate to contact us at this e-mail address.
