NEO Team Update 4-16-18

We rejoice in the passion NEO Churches are showing for Christ and His mission. In their monthly reports, Bartlesville, Broken Arrow Core, Chelsea, Cielos Abiertos, Drumright, Fuente de Vida and Tulsa Hills reported salvations. Think of all the parties in heaven! And BA Core and Okmulgee reported baptisms. May God continue to honor our prayers and bless our efforts to scatter the seed of the gospel!

Offering of Encouragement for Bristow

NEO Nazarenes are such a generous people. Our District Advisory Board recently asked our churches to consider taking an “Offering of Encouragement” to help Bristow accomplish a miraculous purchase of facilities (See Pastor Anthony Beville’s video). Mannford, Sapulpa and Tulsa Central have already committed over $1000 each! Wouldn’t it be great if we could raise at least $20,000 as District churches to match the $20,000 gift from the District (which comes from the sale of the Nowata parsonage this year). The Bristow Church, which raised $54,000 last church year, is raising $20,000 toward this purchase of a property and building. And an offer has been made to purchase their old building. God continues to work in ways beyond our wildest dreams!

March Attendance Growth

I Want to Celebrate. . .

David Stevens, Vinita. . . Our people are faithful. The home Bible study group is going well. The Organic Outreach classes are also good – this week we were challenged to raise our evangelistic temperature 1 degree. Looking forward to Easter Sunday.

Brian Loderhose, Owasso Silver Creek. . . We just finished a new sign in our hallway for our Creek Kids department that looks really nice.

Ronnie Baker, Tulsa Audacity. . . We had great attendance on our Sunday Celebration Service. We set our attendance record for the year the week before Easter, we are believing for some momentum going into Spring. We had the most guests we’ve had this year. We are really excited about all that is happening. We’ll be starting a young adult (TU Student) Bible Study after Easter. I’m so proud of Brooke Shepherd! Dianna Potter laid years of seed, Brooke has been an inviting machine, on top of serving on our worship team. College students have been volunteering to serve in kids and as greeters.  Between Brooke, Dianna, and lots of prayer we continue to see fruit on TU’s campus.

Yalmi & Norma Izaguirre, Tulsa Regency Iglesia. . . Church is going well and we are working with discipleship.

Otoniel Dannemann, Tulsa Fuente de Vida. . . This month we had a women’s worship time and two women received Jesus as a personal savior. Another couple from a Mexico neighbor of a family member of our church was with diabolic problems and they came to our church and they received Jesus as a personal savior in their lives.

Melissa King, Chelsea. . . We had a couple people give their lives to Christ last Thursday night at CR.  The gentleman that got saved last week just called me and told me that his son gave his life to Christ today and they want to both be baptized.  Last Sunday I had palm leaves for 15 people because we usually have 12-13 people every week.  I was preaching on how God will exceed our expectations.  Well we had 23 people there last Sunday!!!! God exceeded MY expectations.  Our CR is now 6 months old and God is moving and we are expecting more great things.

The Board of General Superintendents declared 1 December 2017 as the effective date for the 2017-2021 Manual of the Church of the Nazarene.

If Jesus conquered the cross and He left His grave, then why do I keep Him nailed to the cross with my bondage to sin? Let His resurrected life set me free.
