NEO Team Update 5-7-19
Dear NEO family,
The church year has ended and pastors and lay leaders have been working diligently on all the reports due. Now is the time to celebrate all that God has done! Our annual ADVANCE is a great time to do so. Look over the schedule, reserve your meals and child care, and anticipate a powerful time of refreshing from God.
I am excited that this year on Saturday we will invite our elementary, middle school and high school students to join us for the Evangelism Multiplication Training. What a great opportunity for our kids and students to find out how God can use them to impact their schools and neighborhoods.
We can’t wait til Assembly to give thanks for what God is doing, so read these reports from Pastors on our district:
District churches reported 48 salvations for the month of April, including 26 at Core and 10 at Bartlesville!
Steve Brown, Cleveland – I have to share with you this first Sunday of the new year. We had a great service. One gave her heart to the Lord. And many got set free from the bondage that has held them back. God is doing great things in Cleveland! Praise His Holy Name!
Cary Tipton, Mannford Grace Family Worship Center – A great young man brought his step-brother to church. This family was atheist and are now attending faithfully at Mannford Grace. We are having our car show and baptism service on the 15th and 16th of May!!!
Tim Odom, Collinsville – Had a wonder celebration of Easter and kids events this month! Exciting things happening at Collinsville!
Mark Smith, Drumright – We had revival services and people drew closer to the Lord through entire sanctification. One person was saved. We combined Cushing and Drumright for our first community Easter sunrise service and Easter worship AM service.
Melissa King, Chelsea Open Doors – We joined with another church this month to have an “Outside the Walls” revival. We met in the local park. As a result of the revival, two people gave their lives to Christ.
David Stevens, Vinita – A young lady prayed to be saved during Sunday School. Jim Reeves prayed with her. We had a great Easter service! We also really enjoyed the Carrs, missionaries to New Zealand. We had a really good number who came to the missionary service on a Sunday Night. Our people are faithful! They are a blessing to their Pastors. Johnny Borgstrom has been declared cancer free. Violet Bowers, one of our dear older ladies, celebrated her 100th birthday.
Austin Troyer, Tahlequah – We had a wonderful Easter service and a community egg hunt. We raised $950 to help Habitat for Humanity, assembled lunches for their workers, and helped paint the new house they are building.
Ronnie Baker, Tulsa Audacity – We had over 60 people at our Seder this year. I enjoy seeing people see how Jesus is the fulfillment of the Old Testament Feasts. Additionally we had a great Easter service with over 10 guests.
Otoniel Dannemann, Tulsa Fuente de Vida – We had a special time with close to 80 women — it was a very inspiring time.
Geoffrey Gunter, Tulsa Regency Park – We took in 21 new members last Sunday.
Bret Metcalfe, Claremore – We were blessed to be able to help a homeless couple who stopped at the church for some quarters for laundry. We were able to help with a vehicle, room stay, and some personal items. Please keep them in your prayers. We had 3 people join the church this month.
Jim Thornton, Tulsa Hills – Last week Christy and I celebrated 20 years of Pastor/Church Partnership at Tulsa Hills Church. We are the blessed ones as this church continues to embrace the fresh new opportunities before us as we seek Him. We welcomed 5 new members this month, totaling 16 for the church year. We also celebrate a salvation — a woman came with a friend to a Wednesday night prayer meeting and gave her life to the Lord!
Brady Thelander, Sapulpa – There is new life and energy in our middle-aged adult group. We had a children’s program and had parents come that we have been praying over for years. We formed a “First Impressions Team” for our Easter weekend to welcome guests. Our Wednesday evening outreach to youth is averaging 22 students – every one of the students comes from an unchurched home. People are excited about the direction we are moving.
Jason Isaacs, Tulsa Kaleo – God is good! Kaleo had a great month. God is good and He is moving at Kaleo Church.
Carl Brown, Hominy – We have had a wonderful time of love and increase this month with many new people coming and idea’s being brought up on ways to reach out and to change ways we are doing things to do what God is calling us to do. God is really moving and we are hanging on to Him. Praise the Lord!
Russell Hosey, Bartlesville First – Resurrection Worship saw 10 people make a first-time commitment to Christ!
Brian Loderhose, Owasso Silver Creek – We had an amazing Easter where we brought in some of our own new members and celebrated with Silver Creek Iglesia as they brought in their very first members to their congregation. We also witnessed a dad who had the privilege of baptizing his two daughters.
Jordan Serracino, Davenport – We had our first baptism in over a year on Easter Sunday!
This is a District event especially for Primetimers. You can still join us!
