The Heart of the Church
Every church needs to take an honest look at how they function and discover if there are patterns that are counterproductive to reaching out to those who are not yet part of the family. Entire congregations can function in a way that says, “We are here for us. Raising Highly Capable Kids – July 27
Search Institute has undertaken decades of research with more than 5 million children and found that there are 40 building blocks every child needs to grow and mature. And the more of these assets a child has in her life, the more likely she is to engage in healthy behaviors while veering away from those that are unhealthy. Raising Highly Capable Kids is a 13-week curriculum that is based on the Search Institute’s research.
As Christians concerned with serving our community, we also see this curriculum as a great way to serve parents and schools. We welcome principals, teachers, pastors, business people and anyone interested to come find out more about how we can bring this training to Oklahoma. We will meet at SNU Tulsa, near 105th and Memorial, on July 27th, 2:00–3:30pm.

Pastor Mark Smith Pastoring Cushing Church
After consulting the leadership of the Cushing and Drumright Churches, I have appointed Pastor Mark Smith to pastor the Cushing Church. Pastor Mark and Colleen have been doing an outstanding job serving the Drumright Church since last October and will now serve both churches.
