On Saturday, August 27, we will gather at Regency Park Church of the Nazarene in Tulsa to have God shape us in His image and make us disciple-makers who journey with the people in whose lives He is working. A collaboration of Nazarene Youth International (NYI), Nazarene Missions International (NMI), and Nazarene Discipleship International (NDI), this event is designed to challenge, transform, and equip every believer.
Dr. Scott Rainey, our Global NDI Director, will start us out at 9:00 a.m. with an inspiring keynote. Next, we will have four sessions, with eight choices (“tracks”) available for each session. Since Dr. Rainey was a missionary in the Ukraine before being called to be our NDI director, we have asked him to close the day together with us in prayer for our sisters and brothers in the Ukraine.
We have three session tracks with discipleship topics, with speakers including Dr. Rainey, Dr. Daniel Ketchum (who led us in the Prayer Gathering in March), Rev. Jim Thornton, and several others. Expect to have a hard time choosing which session to attend!
At the same time, we will be offering training in five further session tracks: NYI, NMI, Children’s Ministries, Adult Ministries, and Sunday School/Small Group Leaders. This is your opportunity for growth if you are already serving in these areas, and a chance to take a look if you sense the Lord’s leading into serving at your church.
We will post many more details in the coming weeks as speakers are confirmed and specifics are worked out. You may also want to like the new Northeast Oklahoma NDI Facebook page ( @neokndi ) for more frequent DDD updates and ongoing NDI information and resources.
Child Care: we expect to offer care for children Nursery through age 4.
